2. Overview

This website presents the Wool Studio software and offers a waitlist. It uses no cookies, no third-party analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels and no embedded third-party content. We count visits ourselves and anonymously (section 4). Fonts, images, videos and music load from our own server. The link to woolscapes.de is an ordinary link; that site's privacy notice applies once you follow it.

3. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When you open the site, the host processes technically necessary access data, in particular IP address, date and time, requested file or URL, referrer URL, amount of data transferred, access status and details of your browser, operating system and language. This serves delivery, security and stability of the website.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure and reliable operation. Where processing on our behalf takes place, it is based on a contract under Art. 28 GDPR. According to ALL-INKL.COM, log files are deleted after seven days at the latest; longer storage may be necessary in individual cases to investigate or defend against attacks.

4. Our own counting without cookies

The server counts views of the start page, as well as submitted and confirmed waitlist sign-ups. Only daily counters are stored: the date, the type of event and the number. Automated requests are counted separately, based on the technical details your browser sends with the request; those details are not stored. IP addresses, cookies or other identifiers are neither stored nor analysed for this counting, and nothing is stored on or read from your device. Individual visits or people cannot be derived from the counters.

The counters are stored on our server at ALL-INKL.COM, are not shared with third parties and are deleted after three years at the latest. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is understanding use of the website in aggregated form.

5. Waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we process your email address to tell you about the release of Wool Studio and a possible beta. You will not receive other advertising through it, and your address is not sold or passed on to third parties.

Sign-up uses double opt-in: you first receive an email with a confirmation link, and you are only on the list after confirming. We store your email address and the time of confirmation, and until then the time of the request. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after seven days.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, through the link on the confirmation page, the link in our emails, or by email to the address above. Your address is then deleted. The waitlist is deleted no later than six months after Wool Studio is released.

To prevent abuse, a check value calculated with a secret key from your IP address or email address is stored for 24 hours at most; we do not store the IP address itself for this. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a sign-up form protected against abuse.

The data is stored on the ALL-INKL.COM server in Germany, and emails are also sent through this provider. No external newsletter service is used.

6. The Wool Studio app

This policy covers the website. How the macOS app handles Google and YouTube data is described in the WoolScapes privacy policy (in German).

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
